WPS Philadelphia 2010 Plans Downtown Signing Ceremony
Plans are being made to celebrate the recent selection of Philadelphia as the 8th franchise to play in the WPS. The bash, planned for April and open to soccer and sports fans everywhere, will be held at an exciting downtown venue that brings together the many partners who have worked hard to bring women’s pro soccer to the city and Delaware Valley communities. The occasion will be marked with a signing ceremony and unveiling of the team’s name. On hand for the event will be city and local officials, the WPS Commissioner and other WPS representatives, our MLS partners, key business and community leaders, folks from the area’s soccer teams and clubs that Coach Driver has worked with for years, as well as Team Dynamics coaches, families, and friends. You may even see a few surprise guests. Stay tuned to our website for details and plan on joining the fun.
