Philadelphia Independence 2010 Player Roster

With the conclusion of the 2010 WPS Drafts, the Philadelphia Independence roster is looking strong – and is getting a great deal of attention around the league for the quality and experience of its players. Coach Paul Riley will begin working with and evaluating the players when they report for camp at United Sports in Downingtown, PA in March.  Stay tuned to our website to watch the team’s roster evolve and prepare for the March exhibition matches and April 11, 2010 home opener against the Atlanta Beat.

2010 WPS Key Preseason Dates

March 1st – Try-outs Begin
March 7th – Preseason Camp Officially Opens

Exhibition Matches:

March 7 - Vs. Rutgers (at Downingtown)
March 20 - Vs. UNC (at Downingtown)
March 27 – Vs. Washington Freedom (MD)
April 1 - Vs. Penn State (at Downingtown)

March 15 - Roster Cut-Down Date (rosters reduced from 28 to 24 players)

March 31 - Opening Roster Due (18 roster + 4 optional developmental squad)

April 11 - Regular Season Begins (Home Opener vs. Atlanta Beat)

CURRENT PLAYERS BY POSITION – Maximum of 28 players report to preseason camp (list includes players under contract, in contract negotiations, and invited to preseason camp for tryouts).
