Wow! Everyone is really starting to feel the effects of two-a-days. Our second session today was on the grass field at Chestnut Hill College. We started out with another one of Staci Wilson’s dynamic warm-ups. Then we split into our teams, yellow and blue (Go BLUE!) and we played possession for a few minutes before game time. The weather was a bit cooler and less humid than yesterday afternoon which was awesome, although we were still drenched with sweat. The 5 minutes mother nature decided to rain on us felt great. We played a 45 minute half, then the coaches decided to take it a little easier on us and make the second half 35 minutes. Nice guys! Blue team won 2-1 !!!!!!
After the game, we went straight up to Chestnut Hill’s dining hall where they stayed open just for us so we didn’t have to eat more pizza. They have a beautiful campus and very nice dorms. At the moment, the girls are trying to re-hydrate, take the necessary anti-inflammatory meds, and watching the WPS Washinton Freedom vs. Boston Breakers game. I’m sure I can speak for all of us when I say it will be an early night. I’m looking forward to the games tomorrow night against A.C. Diablos and Philadelphia Liberty WPSL teams.
