May 18th Signing Ceremony Announced For Philadelphia 2010 Women’s Pro Team, Historic Downtown Location
The special day is here for Philadelphia’s soccer fans and supporters – the media evening and ceremony to mark the official signing of Philadelphia’s new women’s professional soccer team as well as the unveiling of the team name and team colors. This important event will be Monday, May 18th, 6-7PM at the historic Franklin Institute in downtown Philadelphia. Show your support for the team and your passion for this great sport as we welcome the Commissioner of Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS), Tonya Antonucci, to Philadelphia as well as the team’s ownership and Head Coach Matt Driver. This event will be packed with plenty of hoopla about our road ahead together, appearances by Philly officials, and lots of fun give-aways. Attending and helping us host the ceremony will be several of our community partners, and many youth soccer teams and clubs from around the area. If you can attend, please RSVP using the link below.
We are pleased to have this inaugural team event at the historic Franklin Institute, just a couple of blocks from Philadelphia’s city center. The Franklin Institute has been at the heart of Philadelphia’s growth since the Institute was established in 1824 and represents a strong foundation of Philly’s beliefs, history, and traditions. It is particularly fitting to bring this team to the city and to the fans of Philadelphia’s communities in partnership with Franklin Institute. Both organizations – the Philly 2010 pro women’s soccer team and Franklin Institute – are committed to and passionate about creating opportunities for our youth, discovering bold new ways to achieve excellence, and giving back to the community through outreach programs.
