Local All-American Soccer Player Joins Staff of WPS Philadelphia 2010
Kelly Rowland, a Philly area native and former Florida State University All-American and FC Delco star, has joined the staff of the Philadelphia 2010 team, providing support in the areas of outreach, media, and communications. “Kelly brings excellent business and communications skills to the organization, as well as a thorough understanding of women’s soccer at its highest levels” says General Manager and Coach Matt Driver. “She is so committed to this community and its citizens that I am completely confident her outreach and FAN FIRST programs will be first rate.” Kelly will start immediately having initial responsibilities in the areas of planning for the team’s signing and naming ceremony, April and May “roll out” events, and early partnerships. She will also handle initial liaison to media organizations until the team transitions to a larger corporate staff for 2010 ramp-up.
