Introducing the first 5 Philadelphia Independence Club Affiliates
The Philadelphia Independence is proud to announce the first five clubs to become members of the Independence Club Affiliate Program. These clubs will receive a wide arrange of benefits ranging from ticket discounts, Independence Membership Program discounts, special recognition on the Independence website, an Individual Theme Night hosted during a home game during the Independence inaugural season, and much, much more. The five clubs are:
Philadelphia Soccer Club
What attracted you to joining the Philadelphia Independence Club Affiliate Program?
“Having a venue for the girls to get the opportunity to watch the game played live at the professional level is key to raising their awareness of how the game should be played. No amount of training makes a bigger impression on the girls than to see the play/game develop in front of them. Cherry Hill FC
What do you think the main benefit of the Philadelphia Independence Club Affiliate Program is for Cherry Hill FC?
“Kids love to identify with professional athletes. Most athletes are “untouchable” to children, meaning they see them on TV and sometimes attend games. The Philadelphia Independence Club Affiliate Program gives our kids a chance to meet the players, attend the games and possibly train with some of the players, as well as giving more exposure to our club. They will be able to say “wow, a Philadelphia Independence player was at our fields and I got a chance to meet them and kick the ball around with them” or “The Philadelphia Independence did a soccer camp at our fields and now I get to watch them play”. Amity AC Soccer Club
What excites you about being affiliated with the Philadelphia Independence?
“I think to be involved from the beginning is one of the most exciting things. We are getting to see the Philadelphia Independence as the team is formed from the ground up. How exciting will it be for the kids to tell their children in the future that they were there in the beginning when the team was picking their first ever player. For the children to say we were at that first game the Independence played at home. And not only were they at the first game but they had met all the players that were in the game. Harrison Soccer Club
What excites you about being affiliated with the Philadelphia Independence?
“Soccer in Harrison is all about the kids. The Harrison Soccer Club is dedicated to providing a fun learning experience for all our members. The Philadelphia Independence provide Harrison SC the ability to provide our members a special connection to professional players (role models) whom the kids can meet and associate with and share soccer and life experiences. Sometimes it’s difficult for young soccer players who truly love the sport to look up to professional basketball, football or baseball players as role models. Having an affiliation with a Women’s Professional Soccer team adds credence to our clubs commitment to provide our members with a fun learning experience.” - Paul Donahue, President of Harrison Soccer Club
Haverford Soccer Club
What attracted you to joining the Philadelphia Independence Club Affiliate Program?
“Haverford Soccer Club wants to take advantage of future programs and promotions and to be a part of the fun and excitement as the Philadelphia Independence hit the ground running. We expect this affiliation to be an inspiration to our kids and an aid in promoting both our club and soccer in general.
