Independence Signs First Automobile Sponsorship in WPS

Franchise Announces More Business Sponsors

The Philadelphia Independence today announced another list of business sponsors for its 2010 inaugural season, including auto dealer Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown, demonstrating continued strong support from the community of fans and businesses in and around Philadelphia. The sponsorship deal between the Independence and Colonial Hyundai marks the first in the WPS within the automobile category.

Colonial Hyundai of Downingtown, a recognized and respected auto dealership serving Philly’s surrounding communities, has signed on to be the Official Automobile Partner of the Philadelphia Independence. “I can’t tell you how excited we are to have a local business, like Colonial Hyundai, sign on to support the team,” said Steve Scebelo, Executive Director of Sales & Marketing for the Independence. “We truly value the communities in which we operate, especially the businesses within those communities. We’re proud of the shared vision for growth and commitment to excellence we have with Colonial Hyundai and its leadership, and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship.”

Colonial Hyundai will be providing the team with vehicles as part of its partnership with the Independence. The Independence will be working closely with Colonial Hyundai to promote the dealership within the region, and will continue to deepen the partnership as opportunities are presented throughout the season and beyond. The Independence has also signed sponsorship agreements with acac Fitness & Wellness Centers, Liberty Travel, Staybridge Suites, Millview Apartments Homes, and a promotional partnership with Elmwood Park Zoo.

acac Fitness & Wellness Centers: “The Official Fitness Partner of the Independence” – acac Fitness & Welness Center will be providing Independence players and staff a world-class facility to train at while working on strength and conditioning programming.

Liberty Travel : “Official Travel Partner of the Independence” – Liberty Travel will provide discount travel planning services to players and staff throughout the season.

Staybridge Suites Malvern: “ Preferred Extended Stay Provider” — Staybridge is housing Independence players and staff throughout the season, mainly for extended durations of time.

Millview Apartment Homes : “Official Apartment Homes of the Philadelphia Independence” — are providing housing facilities, short term and extended stay capabilities for players and staff.

Elmwood Park Zoo : “Official Promotional Partner of the Independence” – Elmwood Park Zoo will be adding to the game-day fan experience by providing animals for the Independence fan fest area, including Noah the Eagle, who will lend a dramatic presence as the team’s mascot at the April 11 Home Opener and July 4 Military Appreciation games.
