Congratulations to Sky Blue FC: 2009 WPS Champions
Congratulations to Sky Blue on capturing the 2009 WPS Championship title! In an extraordinary end to the inaugural season, the WPS proved its unpredictability as the team that held last place as of June 16th took down a team that had been untouchable all season long in the championship match. The victory proved that the league is extremely competitive; our hats are off to Los Angeles on their outstanding year, and we congratulate Sky Blue on overcoming the adversity of their season and rising to the occasion!
